Your stay
Your stay is almost here! Please read through the details below before you arrive, and share the relevant sections with everyone in your group so nobody is caught out.
Restricted areas
Guests are not permitted in restricted areas of the property, including private residences and staff-only areas — entering these is a trespassing offence and may carry serious consequences.
Music & noise
Boom boxes, wireless speakers and similar are not permitted for use outside your accommodation unit, including the indoor pool area and common grassed picnic areas. Please respect other guests and permanent residents by keeping noise to a suitable level during daylight hours, and no use after 10pm. This has been an ongoing issue at the Resort — guests who don't follow this may be evicted from the property.
Recreational equipment
- Electric scooters and electric bikes are prohibited anywhere on the grounds.
- Ball sports should be kept to a minimum around accommodation units, main buildings and residential houses.
- Ball sports are not permitted inside the conference rooms or auditorium.
Indoor pool
- Access is via Reception only. The exit door at the back of the pool area must remain closed at all times.
- The indoor pool is for in-house guests only — day visitors are not permitted. Members of the public need a current, valid WSLR Pool Pass to enter.
- Large inflatable items are not permitted in the pool.
Catering (if included)
Please arrive on time for all meals — we don't offer "running meals" (e.g. breakfast served 7:00–8:30am with everyone trickling in). Everyone should arrive at the set time shown on your final documentation. If mealtimes need to change, let the Head Chef or Functions Manager know as early as possible.
- Commercial/takeaway food (McDonald's, Hungry Jack's, etc.) isn't permitted in the dining room during meal times when WSLR is catering for your group.
- We're a non-licensed premises; BYO alcohol is permitted, but intoxication won't be tolerated — please let us know in advance if alcohol will be part of your meals.
- Crockery, cutlery and glassware must stay in the dining room — please don't take items back to your cabin or the conference room.
- Additional cleaning charges may apply if the dining room is left excessively untidy.
Conference rooms & lock-up
Auditorium: the karate/martial arts mats are not to be taken outside. Chairs and tables are not to be placed on the mats, and high heels are not permitted on the mats.
If the timing of your conference room use changes, please let the Functions Manager or Reception know as early as possible.
For any after-hours use of the conference rooms (after 8:45pm), your group is responsible for a self lock-up at the end of the day's use — there's an alarm pad in the room to arm on your way out. If you're unfamiliar with this, please meet with the Duty Manager on arrival to go through it.
Auditorium lock-up procedures (full document)
- Please walk quietly back to your cabin or campsite so as not to disturb other residents and guests.
- After-hours issues: contact Security on 02 4226 1966.
The alarm is disarmed each morning by our staff, at approximately 6:30am. If lock-up or alarming isn't done correctly, charges may apply. All conference rooms should be left clean, neat and tidy, as they were found — charges may apply for dirty rooms, and vacuums are available on request. If you're still using the rooms after your stay's departure time, all vehicles must be moved to the front car parks.
Noise after dark
When moving between the conference rooms and your accommodation in the evening, please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm out of respect for other guests and residents. Excessive noise after 10pm may result in eviction from WSLR.
Water & water bottles
We encourage guests to bring a reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste. We have filtered water stations at three locations around the Main Building for refills.
Vehicles
All guest vehicles must remain parked at your allocated accommodation and not be driven up to the conference rooms or Main Building. Day visitors park in the front car parks (before the boom gate) or externally, and walk in. Please keep to your allocated parking area.
Arrival & departure
Standard check-in is 2:00pm; standard check-out is 10:00am. Unless you've arranged different times with the Functions Manager, Director or an on-site Manager, please vacate your accommodation and return all keys to Reception by these times.
After hours & WiFi
If reception is closed and you have an issue, contact Security on 02 4226 1966.
For WiFi, search for WSLR WIFI on your device and you'll connect automatically — no password required.
Code of conduct
Your Group Manager — a responsible adult nominated by your group — agrees to assist with all conduct and security matters concerning your group, especially between 9:00pm and 8:00am. The following are breaches of this agreed code of conduct:
- Loutish behaviour by any member of the group.
- Noise from a unit after 10:00pm (this may result in the eviction of the entire group, with no credit or refund).
- It's treated as a double breach where excessive noise comes from a room occupied by your group after 10:00pm and that room holds more people than shown on the rooming list.
- Excessive use of alcohol or offensive language.
- The Group Manager leaving the WSLR grounds while any member of the group remains on site.
- The Group Manager's nominated mobile phone (or an agreed alternative) being switched off at any time during your stay.
