Mechanically gifted handyman, jack of all trades, master of a few, sought to boost our maintenance team in Wollongong Caravan Park. Heaps of work variety. Good support. Great work environment.

Plastering, basic plumbing, painting, repairing, troubleshooting, using light & heavy equipment. Some mowing & site maintenance. Truck licence to fill in for garbage truck driver preferred.

To be trained to be a back up person able to be checking the levels for the pool and spas for chlorine, pH, as appropriate, backwash of the pool.

More than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role.
Working rights required for this role.

 

October 2023 + Ongoing: Housekeeping Jobs

Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort (WSLR) requires casual staff to work in Housekeeping. WSLR operates under the Modern Hospitality Award.

About the position!

This position is responsible to assist with the day-to-day cleaning duties of Cabins within the Resort. Key responsibilities include:

Performing a range of cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, making beds, washing dishes, emptying bins, handling rubbish and other general duties in the act of cleaning cabins.
About you!

Practical cleaning skills involving a wide range of cleaning duties.
Excellent communication skills, including an ability to communicate with people across a broad range of backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Proactive approach to problem solving.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Experience in safe manual handling techniques and use of chemicals (preferred).
Drivers Licence (preferred).

Special Characteristics

The standard hours of work are between 8:00am & 5.00pm during the peak season with the caravan park operating 365 days a year.  Hence, rosters will include working during school holidays and include weekend work and working on Public Holidays.
